Kinsley Group was engaged to undertake a gap analysis review of the Cherry Street Level Crossing located in Werribee at 31.456km on behalf of ARTC. The review was requested by ARTC due to a number of fatalities and near misses that had occurred at the level crossing in recent years.

The works associated with the gap analysis included a site inspection of the level crossing to identify the non-conformances against current standards including AS1742.7 – Level Crossings and VRIOGS 003.2 – Pedestrian Crossings, documentation of the findings within a report and provision of potential options and recommendations to improve the crossing’s level of safety.
